Lotte Department Store and GAMMA proudly announce that the Lotte World Tower/Mall Marketing Strategy Competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in elaborating a “Lotte World Tower/Mall Marketing Strategy”.

Objective: Suggestion(s) for Lotte World Tower/Mall Marketing Strategy

Topics for competition: Marketing strategies for 1) and 2) are required to be submitted.

1)     Case Study of Marketing Strategy for High Rise Buildings

2)     One of following five topics:

  1.     Cultural events and viral marketing strategy for Lotte World Tower/Mall
  2.     Mobile platform marketing strategy (ex. App, SNS and video etc.) for Lotte World Tower/Mall
  3.     Customer participation CSR strategy for Lotte World Tower/Mall
  4.     Differentiation strategy for Lotte World Tower/Mall
  5.     Increasing global awareness level of Lotte World Tower/Mall

Award Money:

Premier Award  10,000,000 Korean Won.  Excellent Award  5,000,000 KRW. Honorable Mention 3,000,000 KRW.

Time Table:

1)     Submission Time Period of Strategic Plan: Feb. 10th – March 15th, 2014

– in MS Power Point format, less than 20 pages excluding title and contents.

2)     Announcement of the 1st Screening: March 26th, 2014

3)     Final presentation: At Lotte Department Store April 2nd, 2014

4)     Award Announcement: April 4th, 2014

Qualifications:

1)     Undergraduate and graduate student(s), excluding doctoral student(s), in who are at least in the 4th year of college, from universities or colleges worldwide.

2)     A team should consist of 4 members (max.) from any major.

Evaluation Criteria: Creativity, Practical applicability and Logical thinking

II. Lotte World Tower/Mall Character Competition

Objective: Suggestion for character design and storytelling

Topics for competition: Describing Lotte World Mall and Tower with storytelling of character(?)

Award money:  Premier Award 10,000,000 KRW. Excellent Award  5,000,000 KRW. Honorable Mention 3,000,000 KRW.

Time Table:

  • Submission Time Period of Strategic Plan: Feb. 10th – March 15th, 2014
  • Announcement of the 1st Screening: March 26th, 2014
  • Final presentation: At Lotte Department Store April 2nd, 2014
  • Award Announcement: April 4th, 2014

Qualifications: Open to everyone

How to Apply:

1)     Submit your application materials to:  lottecompetition@gmail.com

2)     File format:

  • Both sides (back/ front, right/ left) of document’s pictures should be included in DIN A3. (10 pictures max.)
  • JPG or GIF is allowed over 300dpi, and submit with ZIP file.
  • Competition-winner should submit the original file of work
  • The concept, explanation and introduction of work should be included in the form.

3)     Applicants should include the following information in the email:

  • Occupation:  Name of University, department, major, if applicable
  • Team member(s): name, nationality
  • Contact: e-mail and phone number
  • How did you hear about this competition?

Evaluation Criteria: Quality of work, Creativity, Design, Concept

III. Legal Matters:

1) Schedule may be subject to change according to the organizer’s situation. Please check notifications on the website frequently.

2) No award will be issued if, in the opinion of the judges, all entries within a given category do not meet a high level of quality.

3) In case of the violation of copyrights or plagiarism, the team will be disqualified, even after winning the award. Participants should be aware of all responsibilities.

4) Entry will not be returned, and all copyrights will belong to our company.

5) Submitted Documents will not be returned. Please consider before submission.

6) In case of award, taxes and the public utility fees (22%, cash) will be charged to the winner.

Q. How many people can be in a team?

A. The maximum number of people for one team is 4 persons.

Q. How many portfolios can be submitted per team?

A. Limited to 4 portfolios per team (1 max. per person).

Q. Are only students allowed to participate?

A. Anyone can apply to the character sector, but the marketing sector should follow the qualification.

Q. Can I apply offline?

A. No. Only online application is possible.

Q. Can I revise team member’s information once entered entries?

A. Yes. Information can be revised by operation department until 2 days before the submission deadlines.

Q. Does each team need a team leader?

A. Yes. Team leader’s information must be included in application, and at least one person should attend awards ceremony. The award can be cancelled if no one attends the award ceremony.

Q. Can foreigners (Non-Koreans) participate?

A. Yes. Foreigners can apply.

Q. Can I only choose one optional subject?

A. You can choose one or more from the 5 optional subjects.

Q. Can I only choose the main subject?

A. No. You have to choose at least one optional subject that relates to main subject.

Q. Do I need to separate main subject and optional subject?

A. Yes. You need to separate main subject and optional subject.
